* A complete car has the engine, gearbox and differential in place, without these components it’s just a car body, which has no value.
Scrap Car Bodies
Car bodies have no scrap value. Without the engine, gearbox and differential, a car body is mostly plastic, glass and upholstery.
MRG can only remove car bodies that have all fluids, and the petrol tank removed.
A fee of $150.00 applies to collect car bodies.

Vehicle recycling has always occurred to some degree but in recent times environmental concerns have emphasised the need to extend the life-cycle of manufactured products. Once parts of value have been removed a car is sent to a crusher to reduce the size of the scrapped vehicle for transportation to a steel mill to be converted into new steel.
